Eugene's journey into the world of racquet sports began in his childhood, where he honed his skills across various disciplines. However, it was in 2021 that he discovered his true passion for pickleball, a sport that would soon become his forte.
From his initial forays into pickleball, Eugene's dedication and talent quickly became evident as he soared through tournaments, accumulating a collection of medals that underscored his prowess on the court. His impressive performances caught the eye of the Vancouver Rush in early 2024, leading to his selection in the Canadian National Pickleball League (CNPL), a testament to his rising status in the sport.
Beyond his achievements as a player, Eugene's expertise extended to coaching, a role he embraced in 2023. As one of the top coaches in the lower mainland, he shared his wealth of knowledge and experience with aspiring athletes, nurturing talent and fostering a love for the game in others. With a DUPR rating of 5.7, Eugene Mak stands as a formidable presence in the pickleball community, both as a player and a mentor, leaving a lasting mark on the sport he loves.

Cyndi’s passion for pickleball started just before COVID, sparked by a chance encounter during her coffee break when she came across people dinking balls to each other, a sport entirely new to her.
From there she started using her coffee and lunch breaks to rush to the next available court to play the sport and became immediately hooked. Alongside her career as a Registered Nurse, Cyndi thrives in balancing family life with her husband, two children, and their beloved dog Eddie. Driven by her deep appreciation for the health benefits of pickleball and its accessibility to all ages, Cyndi’s competitive spirit shines through. Her athletic background includes 10k runs, field hockey, and consistent weight and aerobic training. In her short but successful pickleball career, she has consistently medaled in her competitions, demonstrating her dedication and skill.
Most importantly, Cyndi’s passion for pickleball extends beyond personal achievement to coaching both adults and children of all levels. She is dedicated to helping her students reach their full potential on and off the pickleball court, channeling her competitive spirit and dedication into help them realize their full potential.

Kerry is a seasoned coach with a lifelong passion for teaching sports. After starting his pickleball journey three years ago under the guidance of pro player Steve Deakin, Kerry quickly became dedicated to the sport. With a rich 30+ year background in coaching sports like Dragonboat, Volleyball, and Golf, Kerry brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to his pickleball instruction.
As an NCCP Level 2 certified instructor and a Level 1 course facilitator for Pickleball Canada, Kerry is committed to helping players of all levels improve their skills and love for the game. His favorite part about pickleball is its simplicity and the way it brings people together, fostering social connections on and off the court.

Ben Cheung is the programs coordinator and an instructor at the Pacific Pickleball Centre. With seven years of playing experience and a background in competitive tennis and badminton, Ben brings a wealth of expertise to the pickleball courts. As a seasoned coach with over a decade of experience teaching hockey and skating, Ben knows how to tailor his instruction to players of all ages and skill levels. He holds Pickleball Canada NCCP Level 1 certification and is a proud International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) certified coach. For the past three years, Ben has been sharing his passion for pickleball through group classes and private lessons at the City of Richmond and Delta. He's dedicated to cultivating a thriving pickleball community.

Sean Graham's pickleball journey began in 2020 when a friend introduced him to the sport, sparking a passion that has flourished over four years. With a background in recreational tennis and squash, Sean's athletic career also includes seven years as a professional football player with the BC Lions, winning the Grey Cup in 2000. As a 4.0 rated player, he has achieved success in pickleball, including winning men's double silver at the 2023 Senior Super Slam tournament and officiating matches at the 2023 PPA Seattle Open. With three years of teaching experience and 16 years coaching varsity-level football, Sean brings a wealth of expertise to his instruction. Additionally, as a sports chiropractor with a doctorate in chiropractic, he works with professional athletes. Certified as a Pickleball NCCP level 2 coach and holding Pickleball Canada Level 1 Referee certification, Sean is a respected instructor and valued member of the pickleball community.

Isaac St. Cyr embodies the essence of pickleball, having embarked on his journey with the sport in 2017 when courts were paved in Ladner. Transitioning from casual badminton games with his father, Isaac quickly ascended to a high level of play, now marking his 8th year immersed in the sport. His accolades speak volumes: participating in three Canadian national tournaments and amassing over 20 medals from local and international competitions. Beyond his personal achievements, Isaac is a pillar of the pickleball community, organizing leagues accommodating 100+ players in Delta and spreading his passion through teaching. He has mentored over 100 students through private, club, volunteer, and City of Delta lessons. As an International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) Certified coach since 2019, Isaac's expertise is unquestionable, making him not just a formidable player but also a revered pickleball mentor and leader in Metro Vancouver.
Ronith Cogswell

Ronith's journey into the world of pickleball began in 2016 during a team-building session with colleagues. What started as a casual pastime quickly turned into a passion, propelling her into the competitive pickleball circuit across British Columbia, Alberta, and the United States. Her athletic background in volleyball, tennis, and badminton has provided a solid foundation for her pickleball prowess, enabling her to excel on the court.
Ronith's focused and tenacious personality has been a cornerstone of her success. She has partnered with some of the best players in the circuit, including PPA stars Tyler Loong and Steve Deakin in 2018 and 2019, achieving numerous podium finishes in the USA and Canada. Ronith is a certified NCCP level 2 coach and a 5.0 rated player, and she brings her passion for the game to every student she teaches.


Alvin Chan

Alvin is an NCCP Level 1 certified pickleball instructor with a specialization on integrating mental skills for better learning and greater consistency. As a professional International Coaching Federation-certified executive coach to organizational leaders, Alvin has developed deep expertise in improving personal performance.
Alvin's approach is to support pickleball skill and strategy learning with the development of the mental game as well. This includes skills such as focus, optimal decision-making, calming nervousness, and self-mastery. And since our mind goes with us everywhere, this approach to learning pickleball will impact life off the courts as well.

Alice is an NCCP Level 1 certified pickleball instructor who has quickly developed phenomenal skills and status within just a year's time. Her passion for pickleball has helped her advance into the pickleball world instantly where she has won multiple tournaments in her first year of playing.
As a certified coach, Alice wants to help her students not only for leisure but also in personal growth. With her background in competitive sports at an early age, she brings a deep understanding of athleticism, strategy, and teamwork. She wants to bring those assets for her students to motivate them in game plays with unwavering energy as well as urging her students to believe in themselves and each other. Whether working with beginners or experienced players, Alice brings patience, encouragement, and expertise to every lesson to inspire the drive to improve everyday.
In her free time, Alice loves to explore different restaurants around town as she is also a foodie.


John McLean

John McLean’s coaching career began nearly four decades ago with a passion for teaching downhill skiing. He coached recreational skiers and competitive racers, eventually rising to the prestigious level of a Level 4 Ski Instructor with the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance. His dedication and skill also earned him a place on the Canadian Interski Demonstration Team in 1983.
Helping others learn and grow through sport has always come naturally to John. So, when he discovered pickleball in 2021, it was only a matter of time before coaching became part of his journey. “I love it when people grasp a new concept — it’s so exciting!” he says.
Today, John brings that same passion, precision, and enthusiasm to the pickleball court. Whether you’re just picking up a paddle, fine-tuning your game, or looking to elevate your skills after a few years of play, John is committed to helping you reach your goals. His keen eye for detail and ability to guide players toward their next breakthrough is what sets him apart as a coach.
